Winnie Chan is a graduate of the Chemistry Department of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and was the sole protégé of the former modern chemistry godfather, Dr. K. Kwong.# She graduated with distinction and was on the Dean’s Honours List for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). She is also a former teacher at a Hong Kong DSS secondary school and is currently employed as a teacher at a private school in the UK.  


With more than 10 years of teaching experience, she is very familiar with the IGCSE / GCSE / GCE / IAL / DSE curriculum for Chemistry. She excels in using real-life examples to help students understand abstract theories, pointing out common mistakes made by test-takers, and making it easy for students to master question types, thus enabling them to achieve their desired grades.


 
Her local students are from Diocesan Boys’ School, Diocesan Girls’ School, Wah Yan, St. Paul Convent, La Salle, St, Margaret, Sacred Heart Canossian, Stewards Pooi Kei, Yew Chung, Australian International School, etc. 


Her oversea students are from famous boarding schools and sixth form colleges in UK, such as Cardiff Sixth Form College, Oxford International College, Malvern St. James School, Charterhouse, Uppingham School, Woldingham School, Sale Grammar School, St Catherine’s School (Bramley), Headington Rye School, Notting Hill and Ealing High School, Cherwel School, Haileybury, etc. There are also some from Germany boarding schools, such as International School OWL. 


For the 2024 academic year, 100% of her student achieved a grade of 8-9 in IGCSE Chemistry.^ 


# The official certification was in the Facebook of Dr. K Kwong on 7th April, 2023. ^ As of August 24, 2024, based on responses from parents and students, who sit for June 2024 exam and have joined the tutorials for 2 months or more.
